To thank the community for its continued support on its 20th anniversary, The Alliance for Health Equity (formerly known as the Brandywine Health Foundation) is giving away 600 free pies.

Thanksgiving is around the corner, and The Alliance for Health Equity wants you to relax and not have to bake a pie for the holiday. The Alliance has made programs and services accessible for all, increased healthcare services, revitalized parks and playgrounds, and created spaces to listen to voices in the community.

The Alliance invites all in the Coatesville area to its “Bake the World a Better Place” pie giveaway on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at the Lukens Executive Offices in Coatesville.

With an assortment of flavors to choose from, each pie is crafted from Two Fish and Five Loaves, a nonprofit that offers cooking experience and employment to individuals in the Coatesville area. There are also free prizes, as five pies have a golden ticket — a gift card to either Acme, Wegmans, or Giant to assist in preparation for Thanksgiving.

For those who register, the pies will be available for pickup from 3-6 PM. From 6-7 PM, the remainder of the pies will be distributed (first come, first served) to people unregistered.

The Alliance for Health Equity kindly asks the public to register for one pie per family.

Cleveland-Cliffs, which acquired ArcelorMittal, is a partner of The Alliance for Health Equity and will attend the event to promote employment opportunities.

Please consider a holiday donation to The Alliance for Health Equity to support the health and wellness of the Coatesville community.
