Westtown-East Goshen Police Grieve the Loss of Young Officer ‘Who Always Had a Smile on His Face’
The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department is grieving the loss of one of its finest, after officer Joshua Micun died from a COVID-19-related illness. Bill Rettew covered his passing for Daily Local News.
Micun, 37, joined the department in 2015 and was soon promoted to full time. Two years ago, he was chosen as Officer of the Year by his peers.
“He is remembered as a person who always had a smile on his face and who loved to make others laugh,” stated WEGO.
The father of two daughters had recently started a DJ business to follow his love of music and frequently volunteered his services for charity events. Most recently, he provided music at a charity golf tournament that benefited the family of a deceased police officer.
“Officer Micun was a devoted father and loving husband,” said WEGO Chief of Police Brenda M. Bernot. “Despite his busy schedule and numerous commitments, he made sure that he always scheduled special ‘date nights’ with his wife to remind her how much he loved her.”
