Aqua Pennsylvania has completed about $2.2 million in infrastructure improvement projects in Westtown Township. These upgrades will improve reliability for customers throughout Chester County.

Crews have completed a $1.1 million project to replace about 4,480 feet of aging six-inch cement pipe with new eight-inch ductile iron water main on the following streets:

• Carolyn Drive between Oakbourne Road and Carolyn Drive
• Farmview Drive between Carolyn Drive and the end of the cul-de-sac

Crews have also completed a $628,000 project to replace about 2,400 feet of aging six-inch cement pipe with new eight-inch ductile iron water main on Hunt Drive between Shiloh Road and Carolyn Drive.

Crews have also completed a $520,000 project to replace about 1,960 feet of aging six-inch cement pipe with new eight-inch ductile iron water main on Hummingbird Lane between Little Shiloh and Oakbourne roads.

These projects are part of Aqua’s continuing infrastructure improvement program, which replaced more than 15 miles of aging main in Chester County in 2020 to improve service reliability for customers. The new water mains will reduce the potential for main breaks and discolored water and improve water flow in the area.

These projects are included in Aqua’s more than $33 million capital spend in infrastructure improvement projects across Chester County in 2021.
