- Classic Movie Trivia: The Films of the 1930s: 1930 marks the start of what is considered to be the “golden age” of Hollywood, a period that marked “talkies” and advances in color film. The studio system was at its highest in the ’30s, with studios having great control over a film’s creative decision and the end of the pre-code era. Swashbuckling adventures and safe scares were highly successful. This was also a decade in which many memorable stars made their careers and saw their earliest starring roles. Test your knowledge of the films of the 1930s. You will need two devices to play. One to record your answers and one to follow the play.
- Dark History: Murder, Madness, and Misadventure in Penn’s Woods: This program features true tales from the mysterious history of Delaware and Chester counties. Hear cases of witchcraft, necromancy, disease, and murder, and learn about the strange ways that early Pennsylvanians treated their dead … and their living.
- Positioning your Nonprofit for Fundraising Success: Join Lou Beccaria and Connie Carter for a discussion of their new book and learn valuable strategies that can help your nonprofit. Workshop topics will include: Do best nonprofit practices really matter? Does nonprofit governance really matter? Is the quality of the infrastructure of your nonprofit important? This workshop will provide an insider’s look at how funders and donors perceive and evaluate your organization when making funding decisions.
- Horror Movie Trivia: Do you love scary movies? Can you never get your fill of thrills and chills? Test your trivia knowledge and prove you how well you know your movie monsters.
