Chester County Is Conspicuously Absent from This List of the State’s Highest-Paying School Districts

Despite being home to a pair of school districts routinely ranked among the best in the nation — Tredyffrin-Easttown and Unionville-Chadds Ford — Chester County is conspicuously absent from the World Scholarship Forum’s list of the 10 highest-paying school districts in Pennsylvania.

In fact, out of the 10 highest-paying school districts in Pennsylvania, nine are in Philadelphia’s collar counties. However, none are in Chester County.

“Powerful teachers’ unions (and) excellent working and academic environments are among the top reasons that make PA a favorite among teachers looking for jobs,” according to the World Scholarship Forum. “However, teacher salaries vary from district to district.”
