Immaculata Responds to Market Need with New Associate Degree in Cybersecurity
Immaculata University is expanding its associate degree offerings to include the Associate of Science in Cybersecurity.
“Immaculata University currently offers a robust Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity,” said Dr. Angela Tekely, vice president for academic affairs and provost. “Based upon market need, we are expanding the offering in cybersecurity to include an associate degree. Our associate degree programs have proven to be popular for students wanting to delve into an academic field or expand their career options. These new associate degrees prepare students for in-demand careers or to continue their education.”
By researching the latest cybersecurity trends regarding threats and countermeasures, students in the A.S. in Cybersecurity program will:
- explore global threats
- understand best practices to prevent and safeguard organizations
- create policies to improve cybersecurity
- identify how technology affects cybersecurity
Content will also focus on legal and ethical concepts within the industry. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects cybersecurity analyst jobs to increase 31 percent through 2029, which is more than seven times the average projected employment growth for all occupations. With the 63-credit associate program, students enjoy a flexible schedule, with most courses available online.
Immaculata’s associate degree programs are ideal for students. Tuition is $250 per credit and may seamlessly transfer into the B.S. in cybersecurity. Throughout the program, students receive the individual attention they need to be successful.
Immaculata offers 12 additional associate degrees available in the humanities, science, and business. For more information on any of these programs, please email admiss@immaculata.edu.
