The Safe Harbor Golf Classic Fundraiser at Chester Valley Golf Club is Oct. 18; registration is now open.

Safe Harbor of Chester County is ready to welcome both sponsors and players to an afternoon of food, socializing, fundraising, and athletic competition during its annual Safe Harbor Golf Classic Fundraiser at Chester Valley Golf Club, one of Chester County’s most historic links.

The October 18 event includes pre-round beverages, lunch, play, and an awards ceremony rewarding the best players. The driving range opens at 10:30 a.m.; lunch is at 11 a.m.; and the shotgun start is at noon.

Once all the scorecards have been tallied, it’s time for recognizing the victors. Prizes will go to players with the best scores, longest drive, and the closest shot to the pin.

And any player landing a once-in-a-lifetime hole-in-one will walk away with $10,000.

Registration fee for a foursome is $1,200; individual players may tee off for $350.

Sponsorship opportunities range from $5,000 to $200. The higher echelons of support come with perks that include coverage in VISTA Today.

All proceeds go toward Safe Harbor of Chester County and its mission to support the homeless and food insecure in Chester County.

Chester Valley Golf Club’s history stretches back to the late 1920s, making it nearly a century old. It was a frequent host of the PGA Senior Tour (now the PGA Tour Champions). Golf legend Lee Trevino called it a “hidden jewel” of local courses.

Registration for this event is online.
