Local Artist, 12, Sells Painting at Gala in West Chester for $1,000, Uses Earnings to Pay It Forward

At 12 years old, Jada Robinson is already a successful artist. She managed to sell one of her paintings for $1,000 at a recent art auction and gala fundraiser in West Chester, reports 6ABC.

But the budding artist is also part philanthropist: She paid her good fortune forward by supporting a fellow artist. She donated the windfall from her sale to the Painting Freedom Ministries and the Legacy Arts Club in Chester.

She chose to help the club because being a part of it has meant a lot to her.

“When I come to art club, we’re always told to ‘bring out your art’ and ‘do your art’ and that’s what makes me happy,” said Jada.

When she grows up, Robinson hopes to continue painting and become a professional artist.

The gala that was held last month raised $11,000 for the youth art program in Chester.

More about the young artist is at 6ABC.
