Immaculata Adds Two Graduate Certificate Programs Focusing on Leadership, Management
Immaculata University now offers two new graduate-level certificate programs for prospective students who are considering an advanced credential.
Individuals can enroll in the new certificate programs in leadership or management starting this summer. They can be taken as standalone certificates, a stackable credential for non-degree seeking students, or simultaneously to be applied toward Immaculata’s Master of Science in Management and Leadership.
A hybrid model of course delivery will allow students to experience the best of face-to-face classroom instruction, along with online classes.
“With these two new certificates, Immaculata University provides flexibility through short-term stackable credentials in addition to progression towards a master’s degree,” said Dr. Angela Tekely, vice president for Academic Affairs and provost. “The curriculum responds to the needs of leaders who must learn how to evolve with changing environments. A dedication to lifelong learning, whatever form it may take, is paramount to career success and marketability.”
Courses for the 12-credit certificate in leadership focus on learners who develop their own authentic leader-manager style through building self-awareness and understanding the impact their behavior has on others. Also, students study a wide range of organizational change theories and learn practical change-focused tools for leading organizations.
Curriculum for the 12-credit certificate in management explores how highly effective managers of today’s modern enterprises bring order to the complex and often changing environments. Managers have a specific skill set that enables them to work within the organization to plan, organize, and solve challenging problems. The certificate in management focuses on building these critical skill sets to drive organizational success.
