The Philadelphia Inquirer’s food writers have decreed where the best burgers in Philly are, and one in the suburbs makes the cut.

See what Jillian Wilson, Craig LaBan, and Michael Klein think of local burgers. Which do they like better: the city burger or the ‘burbs’ burger?

At Ripplewood Whiskey & Craft, they went for the Ripplewood Burger, loaded with all your faves … and some toppings you never even thought of.

A great burger must have cheese, so chef and co-owner Biff Gottehrer starts with two beefy quarter pounder patties topped with melted Gouda cheese for texture and flavor, lettuce, pickled onions, his special sauce (any guesses?), and the pièce de resistance — slices of fried Lebanon bologna that add a sweet smokiness.

Put all that on a nice round bun and you are ready to have all your burger dreams come true. Order the Ripp fries with it, too.

The Ripplewood Burger is $17 and can be found at 29 East Lancaster Avenue in Ardmore.
