After a Difficult Year, West Chester’s Restaurants Prepared to Meet the Demand of a Busy Summer
The restaurants that populate downtown West Chester, one of the region’s most-renowned dining destinations, are prepared to meet the demand of a busy summer season, writes Edwin Malet for County Lines Magazine.
According to John O’Brien, Executive Director of the West Chester Business Improvement District, the restaurants in the borough are “finding their way back after a hard year.”
This encompasses both longtime borough staples and more than a handful of newly opened eateries.
The newest among them is Sedona Taphouse, which opened in April and is “off to a really good start, with a great reception,” said David Trout, franchise manager for Pennsylvania.
The menu includes Australian Kobe beef sliders, Sedona crab cakes, and much more.
Another newcomer is the West Chester location of Stove & Tap, which opened in February and is now busier than it has ever been, according to co-owner Justin Weathers. The eatery serves elevated comfort food such as brisket dip, grilled octopus, and crispy pork belly bao buns.
Meanwhile, Greystone Oyster Bar brings a new food category to the borough. In addition to oysters, the restaurant also serves clams, mussels, scallops, lobster, and other seafood.
