Hess Landscape Architects in Lansdale helped Philadelphia-based interior designer Marguerite Rodgers satisfy the desire of her client to have a backyard pool that could be covered with a sturdy surface on which the homeowners could continue to entertain, writes Erica Gerald Mason for The Wall Street Journal.

“A young family was looking for ways to incorporate a pool in their backyard, ideally without losing square footage for their children to play and space for them to entertain,” said Rodgers.

They were hoping there was a technology that could be utilized to achieve their goal, such as a hydraulic retractable floor that could completely cover the pool.

Rodgers contacted Hess Landscape Architects, an award-winning design firm that creates innovative exterior spaces, as well as MAMO Architects. Their team of experts got to work and managed to perfectly fulfill the homeowners’ wishes.

“With the right team, their goal was achieved, the first such pool in northeast America,” said Rodgers.
