Public Health Nurse

This position assists the Chester County Health Department with its COVID-19 vaccination program by preparing the vaccine and properly storing, handling, and recording its temperature; properly administers the vaccine; and observes and reports adverse reactions.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school; a Pennsylvania registered nurse license; strong working knowledge of nursing theory, principles, and practices; and excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Mosquito-Borne Disease Specialist

This position performs field control activities based on data from surveillance technicians and public complaints; performs field verification of complaints or concerns of mosquito breeding; and prepares correspondence and inspection reports.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED and one year of job-related experience and/or training; knowledge of vector control rules and regulations; strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills; and a valid driver’s license.

Protective Service Care Manager

This position develops care plans based upon medical, social, psychological, and functional assessments; ensures that applicable time frames are met to ensure the safety of vulnerable clients; and conducts thorough investigations of the circumstances of clients in need of protection from abuse.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in the social sciences and one year of direct aging care management experience; skill in the development of plans to address the needs of vulnerable older adults; and knowledge of social casework principles and methods.
