As the number of coronavirus cases remained roughly the same during the past few weeks, the data still shows that Chester County’s risk level for COVID-19 is very high, according to The New York Times.

The number of hospitalized patients increased during this period, while COVID-19-related deaths have remained at the same level. The test positivity rate is high once again.

In the past two weeks, the county saw an average of 172 cases per day. The rate indicates no real progress being made. Since the start of the outbreak, approximately one in 14 residents have been infected.

Meanwhile, the average number of hospitalized patients between April 9 and April 15 was 394.

December remains the month with the highest number of reported cases in Chester County.

Chester County’s high infection rate is about the same as in neighboring counties.
