Handi-Crafters Raises Awareness About Including People with Developmental Disabilities in All Areas of Life
March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, a time for raising awareness about the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all areas of life and about the barriers that they still sometimes face in connecting to the communities in which they live.
Chester County boasts a strong infrastructure for serving individuals with disabilities.
Handi-Crafters, a Thorndale-based nonprofit, is one of several organizations within the county that provides much-needed programming and service to adults with diverse special needs. It helps individuals find permanent employment, safe housing, and other support services.
