Chester County Home to Nine of the 50 Best Public High Schools in Pennsylvania

Chester County is home to nine of the 50 Best Public High Schools in Pennsylvania for 2021, according to new rankings recently published by Niche.com.

To determine the rankings for its 2021 Best Public High Schools in Pennsylvania, Niche.com used a rigorous analysis of key statistics using data provided by the U.S. Department of Education and millions of reviews written by students and parents. The metrics used include test scores, college readiness, graduation scores, teacher quality, and high school ratings.

Schools were then graded using eight categories, with Academics having the highest weight.

All schools in the Top 50 received an A+ or an A grade for their overall score.

The following public high schools in Chester County, which are preceded by their overall rank, are among the Top 50 in Pennsylvania:

  • 2. Downingtown STEM Academy
  • 3. Conestoga
  • 11. Unionville
  • 17. Great Valley
  • 26. West Chester Rustin
  • 33. Downingtown East
  • 42. West Chester East
  • 44. West Chester Henderson
  • 45. Phoenixville
