While the number of cases has continued to decline in the last month, Chester County still remains at a very high risk level for the coronavirus, according to The New York Times.

The numbers of hospitalized patients and COVID-19-related deaths has also fallen. However, the test positivity rate has remained high, which suggests that the number of cases may be undercounted.

In the past two weeks, an average of 160 cases per day were reported in Chester County, which is an 18 percent decrease from the previous two weeks. Since the start of the outbreak, approximately one in 18 residents have been infected.

So far, December remains the month with the highest number of reported cases in Chester County.

Meanwhile, the average ICU occupancy was at 68 percent as of Feb. 4.
