The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce’s (GWCC) former Director of Membership and current Interim President, Dave Fairman, has accepted a new role as the Executive Director of the Media Business Authority.

His last day with GWCC will be Friday, February 19, 2021.

More than two decades ago, Fairman chose downtown West Chester to open his well-known retail shop which moved to its current location on Gay Street in 2000. After volunteering for years on several of West Chester’s active downtown committees, he joined the Chamber staff in 2012.

During his tenure at GWCC, Fairman recruited more than 200 new members to the organization and played an integral role in the success of the annual QVC West Chester Christmas Parade, Benchmark Twilight Cycling Classic and the bi-annual Gallery Walks presented by Sunset Hill Jewelers & Fine Arts Gallery.

Fairman also served as the Executive Director of the Chamber’s Education Foundation.

“I’ve been truly fortunate to work in such a special, close-knit community for so long, first as a small business owner and then with the Chamber for nearly nine years,” said Fairman. “My extraordinary experiences in West Chester will prove invaluable in my new role with the MBA.”

The Media Business Authority (MBA), located in the heart of Delaware County, works to foster economic growth and support business development in the Borough of Media. The MBA is also responsible for Media’s marquis events such as Dining Under the Stars, America’s Music Festival Series, and others.
