Citadel Credit Union Announces $300 Bonus for New Checking Accounts

By

Citadel Credit Union, which boasts more than $4 billion in assets and 220,000-plus members as one of Greater Philadelphia’s largest credit unions, is kicking off the new year with a limited-time promotion.

From now through March 20, 2021, Citadel is offering $300 bonus when new checking members open a checking account. Eligible new checking members can open one of two account options: Citadel’s Cashback Rewards Checking or Free Checking.

It’s simple to receive the $300, and members can open their account online. There are two straightforward steps:

  1. Open any Citadel Checking Account
  2. Set up a qualifying direct deposit. Once the requirements are met, each eligible new member will receive a direct deposit into their new checking account.

To help new members determine which checking account makes the most sense, Citadel offers a free Checking Quiz.

“At Citadel Credit Union, we seek to help our members build their financial strength, so we wanted to kick off 2021 with a special incentive for those looking to open one of our great checking account options for the first time,” said Philip Faris, Senior Vice President at Citadel. “As a not-for-profit, member-owned credit union, creating a rewarding, digitally-optimized banking experience is a top priority. This is another way we’re hoping to provide the tools and products people need to build a brighter future.”

In addition to being able to open online, you can also schedule an appointment with a member of Citadel’s branch staff or call Citadel’s Contact Center at 800-666-0191. Click here to learn more about Citadel’s checking account bonus.

Named one of the best-performing credit unions in the nation by SNL Financial, Citadel Credit Union’s footprint includes Chester, Montgomery, Lancaster, Bucks, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties.
