Pandemic Puts into Perspective What Matters Most for This West Chester Native and His Bride
West Chester native Ian Peltier and his then-fiancée, Breanna Amborn, decided to focus on the most important things to be able to tie the knot amidst the pandemic, writes Kellie Patrick Gates for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Peltier and Amborn met four years ago and were dating within two weeks. A year later, they moved in together. In June 2019, Peltier, a West Chester University graduate, proposed during a walk on the Schuylkill River Trail, and Amborn excitedly accepted.
The couple originally planned a big wedding at Race Street Pier on Aug. 8, but the pandemic forced them to consider changing their plans and moving the wedding to October.
Amborn soon realized that a scaled-down wedding was still an option, and the sit-down meal and DJ were less important than marrying the person she loved.
So, they decided to go with their original date with a much-smaller ceremony at the Di Bruno Bros. lot in their Philadelphia neighborhood.
They had 12 in-person guests, and others joined with help of technology. The guests enjoyed a cheese plate and a cake and played lawn games, as they listened to a playlist made by the couple.
