Leadership Chester County Accepting Applications for Winter/Spring Cohort
The pandemic has diminished the resources of nonprofits while increasing demand on them to serve communities’ growing needs. Quality human services are essential to see more people through what are often new and frightening hardships.
Therefore, there has never been a time when strong volunteer leadership has been needed more.
Leadership Chester County – the United Way of Chester County’s highly regarded leadership development program provided in partnership with the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry and West Chester University – is the go-to training to ready volunteers for service.
From now until the end of January, LCC is accepting applications for its winter/spring cohort that runs from February to May. LCC’s remote sessions are scheduled twice a month on weekdays and are provided by recognized experts.
LCC is designed to build leadership skills and community awareness and introduces participants to local nonprofits, the social issues their missions address, and nonprofit board roles and responsibilities. This training in governance, community, and self-awareness and developing diverse teams is as valuable in the workplace as in community service.
