The Barn Attic, an antique shop in a 150-year-old barn in Harleysville, offers a wide range of interesting items and many hidden gems for curious hunters, according to Atlas Obscura.

The shop started out as The Barn Auction, a joint venture between daughter and father, Mary Lou Richards and Marvin Knechel. Then, in the early 1970s, Richards started building the antique shop that soon grew into a four-story wonder visited by people from all around the globe.

The Barn Attic stands out among other vintage and antique shops thanks to its many one-of-a-kind and standout items that cannot be found in the range of usual offerings in similar shops.

Additionally, the space offers a rarely paralleled variety of items, from furniture to finger puppets to jumpsuits and so much more.

Despite the volume of inventory, it is all meticulously organized. Also, the employees are always there to lend a helping hand and point customers toward some curious items or help them find a specific object.
