SCORE Webinar on July 9 Offers Insights into Starting and Running a Nonprofit
SCORE Chester and Delaware Counties is hosting a free webinar, “What It Takes to Start and Run a Successful Nonprofit,” on Thursday, July 9.
The webinar, 10-11:30 AM, will be hosted by Mike DiLeo, who served on the board of several nonprofits and was CFO of international joint ventures for 25 years with the DuPont Company.
The interactive discussion is aimed at those considering a nonprofit business model. It will cover three main areas:
- What are the key-steps in starting a nonprofit?
- What are some of the day-to-day tactics which can help maintain a successful nonprofit?
- What are some strategies that can be used over time to ensure continued success?
Several local nonprofits will be used as examples to illustrate practical approaches to dealing with the opportunities and challenges of running a nonprofit.
DiLeo has spent 15 years on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Delaware, serving on its financial committee. He also chaired the board during a successful chief-executive transition.
