As Chester County’s Numbers Stabilize, COVID-19 Cases and Deaths Increase Nationwide
As Chester County and most of its neighboring counties stabilize, the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths caused by coronavirus continues to increase nationally, according to data from The Washington Post.
At the time The Post published its report, Chester County had 3,892 COVID-19 cases or 752.6 per 100,000 residents. The county had registered 332 COVID-19-related deaths. The average death rate is 64.2 per 100,000 residents.
In the surrounding area, Delaware County reported 7,427 overall cases, with 662 deaths. Montgomery County had 8,718 reported cases and 818 deaths.
Meanwhile, Lancaster County saw its reported cases grow to 4,673, and Bucks County’s reached 5,967.
Philadelphia County has recorded 22,392 cases.
