The last several months have been extremely difficult for small business owners, but Dana Petrizzio, the founder and pastry chef at The Farmhouse Coffee & Espresso Bar in Downingtown, has never lost hope in restoring her business, thanks to the tremendous support from the community, according to a report in the Daily Local News.

“Through the toughest and most stressful times we have ever been through as business owners, the kindness and generosity they have shown our team has kept us hopeful,” said Petrizzio. “They love supporting the unique, local businesses that make our town a community.”

While she is getting ready to reopen, Petrizzio believes that the biggest challenge for business owners is building trust with consumers.

Luckily, The Farmhouse Coffee & Espresso Bar has managed to maintain its customer base during the coronavirus crisis by shifting its business model to a drive-thru-only concept. By doing this, her business has built confidence with the community and maintained it as a place that consumers knew they could visit safely.
