Switchboard/Mailroom Clerk

This position provides courteous and efficient communication while operating the switchboard; sorts and distributes U.S. and interoffice mail in a timely fashion; transcribes and distributes accurate telephone messages; and completes and logs certified mail receipts.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED; six months to one year of switchboard operator experience; strong telephone courtesy and customer service skills; and a minimum of two to three years of experience in a postal or mail service setting.

Coroner’s Investigator

This position responds to dispatches from emergency services and carries out death investigations; completes all reports, data entry, and documentation for death investigations in a timely manner; and provides autopsy and toxicology assistance to the Forensic Autopsy Technician and Pathologists.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a major relevant to the position; experience working with the public in medical or emergency services settings; and experience in a coroner or medical examiner office or experience in a medical or pre-hospital setting.

Security Control Officer

This position maintains the security of the building and parking lot and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking pipes, and open security doors; assists maintenance with building problems; and provides transportation for medical treatment.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent technical school education; two years of experience working with juveniles in a similar setting and/or two years of work experience in a security position; and technical knowledge and skill with security technology.
