CARES Act

Suzanne McGrath

On Tuesday, May 5, from 1 to 2 p.m. SCORE presents, “CARES Act in Simple Terms – How to Know Which Programs are Right for Your Business.”

Join this online informative webinar in which SCORE mentor Suzanne McGrath breaks down the CARES Act program, how they fit together, and what they are designed to do – in SIMPLE terms.

The good news when it comes to the CARES Act is that these programs provide lots of ways to get and keep cash in the hands of businesses. The bad news is that it can be very confusing to discern when you can use and stack multiple programs.

In this webinar, you will learn about:

  • EIDL and PPP
  • Income tax deferment
  • SBA loan deferments
  • Unemployment compensation expansion
  • Tax credits both for family leave payments and for loss of income from the virus

Suzanne McGrath has more than 15 years experience as a retailer, restaurant owner, and event developer. She can help clients who are running or thinking of starting a retail business, restaurant, or other food or beverage-related business (cafes, caterers, etc.).

Uncertainty and disruption

On Thursday, May 7, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., SCORE presents, “Navigating Long-Term Uncertainty and the Aftermath of Disruption”

Uncertainty can cause us to feel ‘blind’ and unsure about our own strengths and intuition. This webinar, presented by The Crisis Tamer, Lisa Dinhofer, will provide ‘navigational tools’ for working with uncertainty and planning for the aftermath of disruption.

Key to any leadership role is the ability to provide a sense of informed direction and a sense of calm when situational demands exceed internal resources.

This session will provide practical steps for:

  • Identifying the often missed opportunities of ‘not knowing’
  • Effectively using clarity, ‘knowing’ and confidence during disruption
  • Finding gold in the ‘gap’ between the problem and finding the solution
  • The critical role Values play in managing uncertainty for yourself and your team
  • Planning for what we never think about in the aftermath of disruption
Lisa Dihofer

Lisa Dinhofer, MA, CT is The Crisis Tamer. She works with subject matter and circumstances most people turn away from. Lisa mentors companies past traumatic events, workplace abuse and disastrous communications to regain stability and establish a new normal.

This webinar has been extended to allow for more questions and on-the-spot coaching around this topic. With change happening at an accelerated pace, this timely presentation will be updated to resonate with what’s happening up to the date of this session.
