West Chester residents Brigid and George Stasen, one of the Philadelphia Suburbs’ Six Power Couples, were one child short of being a real-life Brady Bunch when they met a decade ago, writes Melissa Jacobs for Main Line Today.
Brigid was living in Ardmore at the time with her three daughters. Meanwhile, George had two sons. They were introduced by mutual friends who thought they would be a good match.
“And they were right,” said Brigid. “It was an instant attraction.”
The pair got married two years later. Now, they juggle their blended families with their busy careers.
George is serving as chairman of Core Care Systems, a drug abuse and psychiatric hospital, and vice chair of KNF Corporation, a manufacturing firm. Bridget works as a stylist and image consultant for the Etcetera luxury fashion line and is the president of FemCity Philadelphia.
To ensure their work lives do not overshadow their private lives, the Stasens have rules. This includes no phone calls during dinner and no raised voices during arguments.
“We don’t go to sleep angry,” said George.
