The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce has announced that Dr. Susan Fiorentino, Associate Professor in the Management Department at West Chester University and co-president of the Chester County Women’s Association, will speak at this month’s Women’s Roundtable on Thursday, Jan. 30 from 5-8 PM.
Sponsored by Miles Financial Management, Women’s Roundtable is both a social and an educational event for women hosted by Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce. Attendees gather to listen and connect with some of the most powerful female speakers in the region in an intimate setting over dinner and wine.
Typically held in new locations throughout the year, this edition of the Women’s Roundtable will take place at WCU, in the Philips Autograph Library in Philips Memorial Hall. The discussion topic is “Defining Women’s Leadership in the New Decade,” a topic dear to Dr. Fiorentino’s heart.
“I’ve held various leadership roles both at the university and in the Greater West Chester community,” said Dr. Fiorentino. “I’ve also had a unique leadership experience as a presidential spouse of West Chester University, which has afforded me the opportunity to interact with the community in very special ways.
“I want to emphasize the importance of engaging young women as leaders, as well as the necessity and relevance of developing mentor relationships for women of all ages. I’m very excited to be this month’s Women’s Roundtable speaker.”
Mark Yoder, president and CEO of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce, said GWCC is thrilled to have Dr. Fiorentino speak at this month’s Women’s Roundtable.
“She brings a unique perspective on leadership and young women, and we are happy to further our relationship with West Chester University and its students,” he said.
Women’s Roundtable attendees are invited for a meet-and-greet and light networking from 5-5:30 PM. The discussion with Dr. Fiorentino will take place from 5:30-7:30 PM, and attendees are invited to stay for more networking from 7:30-8 PM.
