Shirley Tandoh, a native of Ghana who moved to the United States when she was 19 years old, is the Director of Health Information Management at Tower Health – Jennersville Hospital.

Tandoh earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management from Temple University and an MBA from Wilmington University.

She credits three people as having the biggest impact on her career: Claire Mooney, the CEO of Jennersville Hospital; Mary Zier, the Corporate Director of Health Information Management at Nemours Children’s Health System; and Cindy Henry, Tower Health’s System Director of Health Information Management.

Tandoh’s proudest professional achievements include mentoring young people in her industry.

“It gives me so much fulfilment to be able to give back and help people grow in their fields,” said Tandoh, who began working as an intern during her college days at Temple. “Also, I have led and been a part of team implementations of huge Electronic Health Record systems and written and updated policies and procedures to streamline workflows.”

Her favorite restaurant is Not Your Average Joe’s.
