In addition to promoting girl power through clothing, West Chester-based Four Girls on a Mission donates a dollar from every sale to programs that support safety, education, and wellness for women, writes Caroline O’Halloran for SAVVY Main Line.

The business was started by former science teacher and education reform advocate Meghan Kelly, her mother, and her two daughters. Kelly founded the company out of frustration, as shopping with her two daughters was impossible, and she had to turn to the boys’ section to find clothes for her science-minded older daughter.

Since its founding, Four Girls has amassed a sizable number of partners, including Unite for HER, the Family Lives On Foundation, and the Philadelphia Eagles Foundation.

And it only took a few years for the business to really soar, with sales increasing exponentially when Four Girls joined Nicole Miller on runways in New York and Los Angeles.

In addition to t-shirts, the brand has added power flannels and will soon add a baby line. It is also expanding its men’s line. Next year will see the launch of three new designs and a mental-health program for local high schools.
