Established in 2017, the nonprofit Uptown! Entertainment Alliance operates Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center in West Chester as a theater for live performance, education, and film. Through its programming and outreach efforts, the theater has become a special gathering place in the community, one that reflects the region’s demographic and cultural diversity.

Interim Marketing Associate

This position manages the development, distribution, and maintenance of print and electronic collateral; maintains relationships with printing companies and advertisers; creates content creation for all communication channels (web, social media, video, newsletters, e-mails); creates and maintains content for the organization’s online presence; and manages the marketing calendar.

The ideal candidate will have communication expertise; be proactive in the communicating the right message in the right context; and have the ability to deliver that message in different media and formats, including press releases, e-mails, meetings, newsletters, etc. He/she will have publishing and design experience and know how to build documents in InDesign, edit images in Photoshop, build a spreadsheet, run a mail merge, and send jobs to a print house without mishap.

The person will have experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms. A degree in English or another communications field is preferred. Current students or other candidates with at least two years of experience in marketing are also eligible. Experience working or volunteering in nonprofits preferred.

This interim position carries with it the possibility to be permanent. It is part-time and 30 hours per week to be mutually scheduled between 9 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
