Phoenixville High School graduate Kevin Negandhi, a host on ESPN’s SportsCenter who also anchors the network’s college football coverage, is blazing trails in his industry as the first Indian-American to be featured on a major sports network, writes Matt Hladik for The Spun.

During his time as the host of more than a half-dozen different programs, Negandhi has displayed his knowledge and versatility to cover almost every sport showcased by ESPN. When he finally joined the network, it was a dream come true.

“When I got the call, it felt like my entire journey in life was this attempt to climb Mount Everest, and here I was, standing at the top looking around,” said Negandhi. “And after savoring that, my goal was to challenge myself to get better, so I wouldn’t fall from the top.”

Another dream-like experience for Negandhi, a big Eagles fan, was seeing his team win the Super Bowl two years ago.

“It was incredible,” he said. “Still can’t believe it happened. Everything about that experience felt like a dream. One of the greatest weeks ever.”
