California-based Kieran Robinson Wines is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a new wine-tasting location in Downingtown called R Five Wines and named after the R5 SEPTA Regional Rail Line, writes Ginger Rae Dunbar for the Daily Local News.

Co-owners Kieran Robinson and Kristie Sheppard Robinson are Chester County natives who are excited to bring some of their famous wines back home.

Robinson, a Downingtown High School graduate, began his career in the production of wine at Chaddsford Winery. There, he met his wife, a Great Valley graduate. The pair then moved around, spending time in California and France, where they learned more about the production of wine. They started their own business in 2009 and are now ready to return home.

“We are excited about this new chapter in our lives and to share the wine store with everyone we grew up with,” said Robinson. “We are excited to come home.”

Sheppard said that people will be able to “come in and do a tasting of the wine, just like you could do in wine country.”

The tasting room is expected to open in early 2020 at 206 East Lancaster Avenue.
