Check Out How the High Schools in Chester County Fared on the 2019 Keystone Exams

Renaissance Academy Charter School in Phoenixville ranked fourth in the Philadelphia area according to how well its students did on the 2019 Keystone Exams with an impressive 97.3 percent of students scoring “superior” in literature, 93.1 percent in biology, and 90.3 percent in Algebra I, writes Kennedy Rose for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Renaissance Academy is one of 12 high schools from Chester County that are among the 50 highest-scoring high schools in the region. They were ranked according to “superior” scores determined by combining the percentage of students who scored “proficient” or “advanced.”

Downingtown STEM Academy ranked highest in second place with a 100 percent of its students scoring superior in all categories.

Unionville checked in at No. 5, followed by Great Valley at No. 6, Conestoga at No. 16, and Downingtown East at No. 21.

Downingtown West placed 24th and West Chester Rustin 29th.

The list is rounded out by West Chester Henderson at No. 34, Owen J. Roberts at No. 38, West Chester East at No. 40, and Kennett at No. 47.
