Runners of all ages and abilities will be heading to Natural Lands’ ChesLen Preserve in Coatesville to race through beautiful — and rugged — terrain at the ChesLen Chase for Open Space on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Proceeds from the 10K, 5K, and two-mile trail race benefit Natural Lands’ efforts to save open space, care for nature, and connect people to the outdoors.

“ChesLen Chase is a blast!” said Kelly Ann Baker, who participated in a previous ChesLen Chase. “I am a seasoned trail runner and was very impressed by the challenging course. The trail was very well-marked, and you can’t beat the after-party. This is a great race to run if you are training or just want to have fun.”

Runners can choose from the three distances, all of which traverse the 1,282-acre ChesLen Preserve’s scenic landscapes.

The fun continues after crossing the finish line with a post-race party featuring live music, craft beer, food, family activities, and an awards ceremony.

Discounts are available for members of Natural Lands and teams of eight people or more. Click here for additional details and registration.

As the Greater Philadelphia region’s oldest and largest land conservation organization, Media-based Natural Lands has preserved more than 125,000 acres, including 44 nature preserves totaling more than 23,000 acres.
