Fiscal Coordinator

This position ensures complete financial accountability for personnel, supplies, capital, contracts, grants, and donations for the health department; provides training and technical assistance to ensure that best financial practices are followed; and oversees budgeting, recordkeeping, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree in accounting, business management, or a related discipline; six years of progressive relevant experience and significant supervisory experience; and strong working knowledge of GAAP, budgets, and spreadsheets.

Public Health Nurse

This position provides services in TB clinics and provides direct observed therapy medications to TB patients in their homes; provides staffing for STI and HIV clinics; and offers community education, outreach, testing, treatment, and prevention education.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in nursing and Pennsylvania RN license; experience in STI, HIV screening, and/or working with tuberculosis patients; and knowledge of STIs and tuberculosis theory, principles, practices, and current public health developments.

Director of Veterans’ Affairs

This position informs and supports county-related efforts on veterans’ issues; represents the county with area veterans and veterans’ groups; coordinates and collaborates on services and programs for veterans; and supervises and manages the Veterans’ Affairs department.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of related job experience; knowledge of Chester County the local veteran community; and working knowledge of veterans’ benefits allowed under federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
