Malvern-based Meridian Bank created its home mortgage division to simplify and streamline home-buying and remove some of the stress from the process, writes Bill Donahue for Suburban Life Magazine.

The mortgage team – led by Thomas Campbell, Senior Vice President, Residential Lending – is headquartered in Blue Bell. It was founded nine years ago and offers a variety of mortgage options, including federal and state programs. There are also conventional and reverse mortgages designed to put prospective homeowners in their dream homes.

Meridian also offers access to special government mortgage programs, such as Federal Housing Administration loans, Veterans Affairs loans, and U.S. Department of Agriculture loans. These can offer options for clients who never thought they would be able to purchase a home.

“Sometimes you hear stories at cocktail parties where people are talking about their nightmarish experience of getting a mortgage and purchasing a home,” said Jeffrey Messner, residential loan consultant with Meridian Bank. “I want to be part of the cocktail-party story where people say, ‘We were in, out, and on our way quickly, and everything went according to plan.’”
