Members of the Republican Committee of Chester County (RCCC) recently met at Peirce Middle School in West Chester for the purpose of endorsing candidates for the 2019 elections.

The RCCC voted unanimously to endorse the following candidates:

• Chester County Commissioner: Terence Farrell
• Chester County Commissioner: Michelle Kichline
• Chester County Court of Common Pleas (Retention): Judge William Mahon
• Chester County District Attorney: Tom Hogan
• Chester County Register of Wills: Terri Clark
• Chester County Prothonotary: Matt Holliday
• Chester County Recorder of Deeds: Amber Little-Turner
• Magisterial District Court 15-2-01: Hans Klotzbach
• Magisterial District Court 15-2-03: P.J. Redmond
• Magisterial District Court 15-3-07: Judge Nancy Gill

In the race for Chester County Sheriff, Jim Fitzgerald received the endorsement with 222 votes on the first ballot.

For the first position of Chester County Court of Common Pleas Judge, Andrea Cardamone was endorsed on the third ballot with a total of 222 votes.

In the second position for Chester County Court of Common Pleas Judge, Chuck Gaza was endorsed on the second ballot with a total of 196 votes.

“I am proud of the Republican Committee of Chester County’s endorsements,” said committee chairman Rick Loughery. “Our candidates represent diverse interests and bring a wealth of experience to county government.

“Chester County is the best place to live, work, raise a family, and retire, and this is not accidental. Republican leadership has made Chester County the envy of Pennsylvania, and our team of candidates have the ideas and vision to take Chester County into the future.”

With 326 members present in person or by proxy, candidates needed 60 percent of the vote (196 votes) to receive the endorsement of the RCCC.

The endorsed Republican candidates will next seek to win the party’s nomination on Primary Election Day, Tuesday, May 21.
