Chester County is home to six of the Top 50 Private High Schools in Greater Philadelphia, according to the latest rankings published by Niche.com, writes Clara Lefton for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Niche.com calculated its rankings based on academic and student life data, along with test scores, college data, and ratings from millions of users.

Among the categories weighed were Composite SAT/ACT Score, Top Colleges Score, College Enrollment, and Culture & Diversity.

Westtown School, with 697 students and an annual tuition of $36,895, checked in at No. 7.

With 280 students and a yearly tuition of $24,400, Devon Prep placed 19th.

Malvern Prep, with 642 students and tuition of $31,200, was No. 21, while Church Farm School checked in at No. 22.

Villa Maria Academy placed 41st, followed by Phelps School in Malvern at No. 49.
