A video made by Jonathan Ross, principal of Lionville Middle School in the Downingtown School District, in which he reminds students they are not alone has gone viral, writes Ginger Rae Dunbar for the Daily Local News.
The video was made for students and teachers and was also e-mailed to parents. In it, the principal discusses the nationwide suicide crisis and the tragedies that have occurred within the Downingtown community.
“I want to remind everyone that you’re not alone,” Ross said. “At Lionville Middle School, we have people that are here to help, for any reason.”
He said that the school has people who are willing to listen and talk to students in need. These include student assistance teams, teachers, classroom aides, guidance counselors, office staff, and principals.
“We’re here for you, to help you, to do whatever we can in order to help you to be the best,” he said.
