SAP, the market leader in enterprise application software with a North American headquarters in Newtown Square, is among the 50 Best Workplaces in Technology, according to a report from Fortune.

The magazine based its ranking on data from its research partner Great Place to Work. The site analyzed survey feedback from more than 220,000 employees in the U.S. to come up with this year’s list of Best Workplaces in Technology. This list consists of 25 large companies and 25 small and medium companies.

SAP, which employs 19,517 people nationwide and has worldwide revenue of almost $27 billion, ranked eighth for large technology companies.

“There is an entrepreneurial spirit at SAP,” said one of the company’s employees. “People are encouraged to try new ways of doing things on their own without fear of ramifications if it does not work.”

The company received a whopping 92 percent in positive responses from its employees, who say it is a great place to work, with 95 percent saying they were proud to tell others that they work there.
