YouTube star Tori DiSimone, known online as Tori Sterling for her popular makeup tutorials, has left Internet fame behind to start a fitness studio in Phoenixville, writes Cassie McHugh for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

DiSimone, whose channel has more than 475,000 subscribers, recently became co-owner of Stride Spin & Fitness. Her online celebrity status helped make her new venture a success, with fans coming from as far as Idaho and California to attend her spin classes.

Still, her decision may mean a monetary loss for her, as brands pay well to have their products promoted in makeup tutorials.

DiSimone, 20, discovered YouTube in seventh grade and started her own channel a year later. By her sophomore year of high school, she was going to events and receiving sponsorship offers.

However, once she discovered spin and fitness, she found her true passion.

She left YouTube behind and started Stride Spin & Fitness with a friend and fellow spin instructor. The studio officially opened Aug. 4.
