Natural Lands, a nonprofit based in Media, saves open space, cares for nature, and connects people to the outdoors in eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. Natural Lands has been at it since the early 1950s, and today, more than 2.5 million people live within five miles of lands under the organization’s permanent protection.
This position is the chief executive officer of Natural Lands, reporting to and working closely with its Board of Trustees, and overseeing all of the organization’s activities. He/she will continue to coalesce and galvanize staff, board, members, donors, and others in support of Natural Lands’ mission and values. This person will pursue the goals of the current strategic plan and lay the groundwork for the next aspirational plan, and will ensure Natural Lands remains nimble and strategically responsive to unexpected opportunities and challenges.
The ideal candidate will possess a record of senior leadership and effective management within a complex organization; proven business acumen, including discipline and focus in setting priorities, meeting or exceeding goals, and running a fiscally sound, resilient, and sustainable operation; fundraising skills; demonstrated experience as a highly effective public speaker.

Membership and Annual Giving Manager
This position oversees all activity related to membership and annual gift fundraising (including new member acquisition, membership renewals, and other annual appeals); gift acknowledgement and recognition; and donor stewardship. He/she also incorporates assignments associated with broader departmental and organizational fundraising priorities.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three to five years of specialized training and experience in direct marketing or membership program management; exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including nonprofit case-making or fundraising experience; strong knowledge of general marketing techniques, including direct marketing, social networking, and print material development; and experience developing and managing budgets.

Horticulturist – Stoneleigh
Stoneleigh is a 42-acre former private estate that opened as the Philadelphia area’s newest public garden in May 2018. This position’s primary role is to assist in the design, installation, and maintenance of garden landscapes and natural areas. He/she will also be required to perform, as needed, any and all additional tasks necessary for the continued development of Stoneleigh.
