Tredyffrin Township’s Joe DiRocco One of Philadelphia Business Journal’s CFOs of the Year

Joe DiRocco, the Finance Director and CFO at Tredyffrin Township, has been selected as one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2018 CFOs of the Year.

The Philadelphia Business Journal CFO of the Year Awards celebrate those financial executives in Greater Philadelphia for outstanding performance in their roles as corporate financial stewards. This year, the Philadelphia Business Journal honored 21 people with this coveted recognition.

“Joe is a great leader in the township financial planning and budget management functions,” said Township Manager Bill Martin. “Joe demonstrates strong leadership skills with a mission of staying within the budget as adopted by our Board of Supervisors and finds new avenues of revenue growth when developing the operating budget.

“Joe has set a great example of fiscal management and restraint and lets his staff grow and learn in their respective positions.”

DiRocco is a dedicated leader who holds several duties at Tredyffrin Township, including, the operating budget, Five-Year Capital Plan, procurement and management of insurances, oversight of tax and sewer collections, and HR and payroll. He’s also directly involved with the negotiations and administration of three union contracts.

“It is an honor and humbling to be recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a 2018 CFO of the Year,” said DiRocco. “At Tredyffrin Township, we work for the taxpayer and strive to provide excellent service to them. We have the lowest business tax base in the region and, combined with our top-tier school system, we believe we are the best place to call work and home.

“I am truly honored and fortunate to work with a great team at Tredyffrin Township.”

The Philadelphia Business Journal will host an awards ceremony recognizing all of its 2018 CFOs of the Year on Thursday, July 12.
