Maternal and Child Health Consortium Raises $30,000 at Annual Spring Luncheon

By

Maternal and Child Health Consortium, a private nonprofit organization serving Chester County and surrounding areas, raised approximately $30,000 at its annual spring luncheon – entitled “Celebrating Healthy Families” – at the Inn at Mendenhall.

The funds will support its mission to empower families to build a healthier and brighter future for their children by overcoming the social and environmental barriers that lead to poor health conditions in our communities.

State Rep. Carolyn Comitta offered her support for MCHC’s Healthy Start Program and Diabetes Prevention Program. Keynote speaker Kimberly S. Reed, CDP, a diversity and inclusion strategist, shared an empowering message about the power of giving, and inspired attendees to continue the admirable work being done throughout Chester County.

To illustrate the significant impact that MCHC continues to make throughout the community, a mother shared her family’s story about their journey with MCHC and how they continue to grow healthy as a result of the services they have received through MCHC.
