Trish Faidiga, owner of the West Chester-based company, has been appointed Chairperson of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) MAC region.
The region is comprised of 16 local associations with a combined membership in excess of 3,500 members covering 11 states and the District of Columbia. BOMA MAC’s mission is to:
- create, develop, and maintain cooperation among the owners of office, retail, industrial, loft, and apartment buildings
- promote the exchange of ideas and information
- promote the general welfare of the industry
- groom the future leaders of BOMA International
“The BOMA organization, at the local Philadelphia level and at the MAC regional level, has had a profound effect on both the growth of Advantage and my personal growth as a small-business owner,” said Faidiga. “I look forward to the challenges and opportunities of serving as the Chairperson for the next two years.”

For the second consecutive year, Macy’s is partnering with the YMCA to give kids a summer camp experience. From now until Sunday, May 22, the Macy’s in Exton Mall invites shoppers to round-up their in-store purchase to the nearest dollar and donate the difference (up to $.99) to support the YMCA’s camp scholarship program that sends kids to summer camp at the Lionville Community YMCA.
The program helps kids, especially underserved youth, attend camp, where they are introduced to new experiences that build confidence and develop skills to help them reach their full potential. In 2017, Macy’s raised more than $975,000 for the Y camps nationwide, sending more than 8,000 kids to camp who would have been unable to attend otherwise.

Eric Yost, chef/owner of the Suburban Restaurant & Beer Garden in Exton and the Suburban Brewing Co. in Honey Brook, has announced the latest addition to the Suburban family: a food truck named Suburban On The Go.
Suburban On The Go will spend most Friday and Saturday nights at Suburban Brewing Co.
The menu will feature some of the Suburban Restaurant & Beer Garden’s signature snacks, including:
- fried cheese curds served with garlic aioli
- pierogi with caramelized onions and sour cream
- farm burger with hop cheddar and tomato jam on a brioche bun
- a variety of fries and mac & cheese selections
“We decided to go mobile, rather than build a kitchen, so that we could be onsite at parties, brewer events, and to also offer catering,” said Yost. “If you can’t make it to Suburban, Suburban will come to you!”
