Chester County Boasts Seven of Philadelphia Area’s Top 25 Most Challenging Golf Courses

Golfers in Chester County looking for the most challenging course should head over to White Manor Country Club in Malvern, writes Sharon Oliver for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The PBJ has compiled a list of the Top 25 golf courses in the Philadelphia area ranked by the United States Golf Association Course Rating and Slope Database.

With a slope rating of 142 and a USGA Course Rating of 74.2, White Manor is the highest-ranked course in Chester County at No. 13.

French Creek Golf Club in Elverson is next for Chester County at No. 16 with a slope rating of 141 and a 73.5 USGA Course Rating. Next is Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford at No. 18. with a slope rating of 140 and a 73.9 USGA Course Rating.

Broad Run Golfer’s Club in West Chester and Chester Valley Golf Club in Malvern share the 21st spot with slope ratings of 139 and a 73.4 and 72.7 USGA Course Rating, respectively.

The list is rounded off with Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale and RiverCrest Golf Club and Preserve in Phoenixville.
