The Maternal and Child Health Consortium will host its Annual Spring Luncheon on Thursday, May 10 from 12-2 PM at the Inn at Mendenhall in Chadds Ford.

Enjoy lunch with local supporters of MCHC and “Celebrate Healthy Families.” Attendees will hear stories from program families and listen to keynote speaker Kimberly S. Reed.

Reed, the Chief Transformational Officer of the Reed Development Group who is known as The Corporatepreneur, is an award-winning engagement strategist, international speaker, and expert who has developed a distinguished reputation as having one of the most distinct and powerful voices on the lecture circuit.

Annually, MCHC staff provide thousands of women across Chester County the services they need to ensure the delivery of healthy babies. MCHC also provides socio-emotional support and parent education through home-visiting to pregnant and parenting mothers, as well as their families.

MCHC enrolls community members into health benefits such as health insurance and food stamps. Other MCHC programs include school-readiness programs for children and their families, so they may start healthy, stay healthy, and succeed in school.

Since 2008, MCHC’s Annual Spring Luncheon has raised more than $400,000 to benefit economically disadvantaged families in communities across the county in support of its mission, which is to empower families to build a healthier and brighter future for their children by overcoming the social and environmental barriers that lead to poor health conditions in our communities.
