Iron Hill Brewery, a popular destination in West Chester for nearly two decades, has received an upscale facelift, writes Skye McDonald for Fig magazine.

The brewery, which produces 31,000 gallons of beer every year, is renowned for its six signature beers: Light Lager, Vienna Red Lager, White Iron Wit, Witberry, Ore House IPA, and Pig Iron Porter.

Iron Hill also offers around 10 seasonal beers, and the quality of its products have already secured it 21 consecutive wins at the Great American Beer Festival.

According to Matt Gundrum, Senior Head Brewer, the renovations have now added to the experience by offering a completely new atmosphere for guests.

They “can watch their drinks being made, especially with the new renovation now that it’s behind the bar,” he said. “The beer is so fresh; it only travels about 50 feet to get to you.”

The new open-seating setup is also more welcoming and not as congested, noted Gundrum, who said that it has helped “Iron Hill shift into an upscale, casual-type theme.”
